Welcome to Snaps

Snaps is a web based image gallery application for personal (and group) use. A production example can be found here: http://www.fadingred.org/gallery/.

Development postponed indefinitely

Due to the fact that the general public has little interest in this project, development of it has been postponed indefinitely. If you would like to take over development, feel free to contact me.

Version 1.0.1

The current version of Snaps is 1.0.1. You can download it here: v1.0.1.

I would recommend checking out a stable version from subversion instead of downloading the tarball, though. It will be a lot easier to update to future stable versions. Simply use the following command:

svn co svn://fadingred.org/snaps/tags/stable snaps

There are not yet detailed instructions on how to set it up, so if you haven't set up a ruby on rails project before, you might want to wait for more detailed instructions. For now, there is a brief overview of how to set it up on the setting up Snaps page. Please report bugs by creating tickets.

Galleries running Snaps

There is a List of galleries running Snaps. Please add your gallery to the list if you are using Snaps.

Contributing

• The source code can be browsed through this website, but can also be checked out from svn://fadingred.org/snaps/trunk. There is also information on setting up Snaps.
• If you are interested in helping, please contact me. Contact information is on my main site.
• I will also be looking for people who are willing to test using the application. If you have your own web-server and can host Ruby on Rails applications, please let me know.
