Windows Senuti

Dec 12, 2004 — Whitney Young (Updated Feb 27, 2007)

A Windows developer contacted me yesterday about Senuti. If all goes well, there may one day be a Windows version.

Update: Senuti for Windows is no longer something we are planning on doing. There are already alternatives.

Alternatives???

  1. I use Senuti on my Mac at work. Works like a breeze.

  2. I am on my 5th "alternative" and have yet to find one that works.

:(

I don't really have any idea. I don't own a Windows machine. If you find something good, though, please post here and let everyone know what it is.

what are the alternatives??????????

haha that's because windows does bloatware. Enjoy purchasing crappy applications for the rest of your life that only deliver marginal performance. Mac programming is a lifestyle...windows is a joke

Sharepod is an excellent free program which allows you to move files back and forth between Windows and ipod.

I think Senuti for Windows would be awesome. Senuti is by far the best program for copying music from an iPod to iTunes on ANY platform. I'm yet to see any other that can do playlists and library information at all. I love how Senuti doesn't just copy the files, it really reconstructs your library. I used it when my HD crashed and I got a new one and then upgraded to Leopard (now I have Time Machine, so that should cover me).

My girlfriend's computer got messed up recently, I haven't seen it, but it won't start up, and it sounds like the whole HD has to be reformatted. I told her I could help her get the music back from her iPod, but she has a Vista machine, so I think I'll definitely miss the ease of Senuti. I'm probably gonna have to just copy the files back onto the computer and reimport them into her iTunes (which is all any Windows substitute for Senuti does as far as I can tell).

Senuti---yet another example of the extremely high quality of 3rd party Mac apps
