So it’s been a long time since I’ve given an update on what I’ve been up to. I’ve been far busier than I expected to be this summer, so I unfortunately haven’t had as much time as I would have liked to work on my software. Currently I’m working on a site for the people at AmbitiousLemon. My main focus for the summer will be completing that site. If I finish that, I plan to jump right back into working on my software.
I have a lot of changes that I’m planning on making in both Senuti and Cashbox. The next version of Cashbox will include a new icon thanks to a friend in the AL community. It will also have a completely redesigned user interface. I’ll also hope to get a chance to update my site to comply with web standards and fix areas of the back-end that are no longer working.
On a completely separate note, I’d like to note a very significant change in regards to donations for software. As of this month, 10% of all donations will be donated to charity. When I update the site, I will include a lot more information about these donations, but if you have questions, feel free to e-mail me.
I’d like to thank you all for your continued support to my work and inspiring me to take my little projects farther than I ever thought they’d go.

Google is running a program called Google Code. The goal is to give students some experience, get a few more Open Source developers out there, and to give students a little cash in the process. If I didn’t have so much going on this summer, I would definitely sign up, but I already have too many deadlines. Check it out. $4500 isn’t a bad way to start off an Open Source project. The signup deadline is June 14th.

So the mac mini thing worked. I changed the links at the top of the page now, so if anyone’s interested in a digital camera or a flat screen monitor, feel free to sign up.

I’m sorry for the site being down for a day or two. There was a power outage that caused some hardware problems where the AmbitiousLemon server is located, and they worked as quickly as they could to resolve the problem. It’s hard to keep a server running, especially when the only income for the server comes from donations. These guys do an amazing job, though, and I can’t thank them enough.

Tiger arrived today. I’ve had a chance to compile and suppress warnings in Senuti and will check out my other applications over the next few days. So far I am extremely impressed with Tiger. It continues to amaze me that every major upgrade of OS X is significantly faster. I haven’t managed to check out all of the 200+ new features yet, but the ones that I have seen appear to be all that Apple said they were. I’d recommend going out and getting a copy as soon as you can, especially those of you still on Jaguar. It’ll be worth it!

Mac OS X version 10.4, Tiger, was released today. I’ve pre-ordered a copy, so it should be here on April 29th if all goes well. I’m hoping that Apple hasn’t made any significant changes that will affect my applications and that they will run without any changes, but if there are any problems I’ll try to have them sorted out as quickly as possible. Enjoy!

With the one year anniversary of my software being hosted at AmbitiousLemon (and being distributed in general) rapidly approaching, I decided that I might as well showcase everything in a little more of a professional way. Yes, the old site served its purpose, but no, it wasn’t all that visually appealing. I figured it’s about time this site started to look half decent, so I redesigned the entire website and a lot of the back-end code as well. This time I designed with the intent of making a nice looking site and not with complete compatibility in mind, though, so this site will not display properly on Internet Explorer for Windows. That’s alright though, because those people should be using Firefox anyway. Please feel free to e-mail me comments/concerns about the new design. Oh, and I’m not a huge fan of the main icon on this page, so if you want to create something new for me, feel free! I’ll use it if I like it.
