Dru, I'm working on a new version now and I hope to fix QIF support. Having more files to test with is always good, so please do send it to me. Also, if you'd like to beta test the new vesrion, let me know.

Hi, I was pretty excited to find a donationware program for finances, and one that imported QIF files, at that. So I downloaded, installed, fired up Quicken, exported my account as a QIF, and tried importing into Cashbox. Unfortunately, I get an extremely breif progress bar that appears to do nothing. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if there's a problem importing QIF files exported from Quicken 2002.

I'd be willing to send my QIF, if that would help. Or if there's a simple "Turn this option on, dummy" explanation, that works too.

Thanks!

bas, yes, some more example files would be good. I'd like to have the new version released by the end of July, but It'll probably be something like mid to late August. (Don't quote me on that, though). If you'd like to beta test, let me know when you send me your QIF file.

Hi!
I'm really looking forward to using your program, because right now I am stuck with iBank, but unfortunately the .qif-exports from iBank aren't imported well into Cashbox. Do you need further examples from iBank so you can test them?

And do you have any idea when you will release the new version? ;-)

Keith, QIF support isn't perfect if you e-mail me your file, I can use it to test importing in the next version.

I'm importing but it won't import to an account that I have indicated - what am I doing wrong? It keeps adding 'import' labels. Thanks

Jon, yes, that'd be great.

Trevor Fancher, regardless, some files don't conform to standards and it still helps to have test files.

erika, copy the folder at ~/Library/Application Support/Cashbox to the other computer.

I really like the program. I started inputting data on my laptop, but I want to use it on my desktop instead. Is there a way for me to move that data (export it from the laptop)?

wbyoung,

OFX is an open standard, http://www.ofx.net/ofx/default.asp .

AFAIK, QFX is OFX with a few proprietary tags added.

Cashbox seems to be incompatible with .qif files exported from microsoft money (it cannot read the date!) would you like example files?
